Currently, there are two sections to IronShop:

Note: Both games are only open to forum members.

 

1) The IronShop Competition - a one time event, judged by the council for fabulous prizes. The IronShop Competition has its own forum, source images and deadline.

2) The IronShop Forum - is an ongoing forum that includes the IronShop Competition as a sub forum but acts as the general area for IronShop matches.

 

Players Guidelines for IronShop:

The following guidelines apply to matches outside of the PST IronShop Competition.

IronShop is a competitive image build where all players are asked to use the same source image/s to create a "fortunate composition." The source images may have a similar theme, or may be wildly unrelated. A deadline is set for the players to complete their images. Winners are then determined by PST forum members via a poll in the "battle" thread.

The source images are provided by the player/s and are combined or used as source material by the individual players to create a composition. Each individual's final image must have all the source images visible in some way. Painting and illustration are allowed, and the players may decide if non-stock Photoshop tools will be allowed in a Match.

 

To start an IronShop match:

1. Create a "Challenge thread" in the IronShop Forum to propose a battle and to gather a set of competitors and images.

2. In the Challenge thread, agree upon the source images for the game. Set the dates and times for the start and end of play. Agree on the number of competitors for the match (maximum 10).

3. Create a "Battle thread" in the IronShop Arena forum and attach a Poll to it with the poll options listing the competitor's names. Then Include the source images in the thread.

4. On the date set for the start, let the game begin. When each player completes their composition they will Reply to the Battle thread with their entry attached.

5. After the deadline has passed, forum members are encouraged to vote, using the poll, for their favorite composition in the Battle thread. Please do not vote before the deadline has passed.

 

This is an initial set of guidelines to offer a base structure to the game. Player's may agree on alternate match rules. But... once the battle has begun, following the agreed upon rules is a matter of honor.
