Hi all
In creating montages I will use the advanced blending feature on certain layers, sometimes duplicated from other layers with masked involved.
Later if I edit a layer, sometimes I forget if I have advance blending switch on and I have to Opt/alt click to see.
Is there anyway to know when advance blending on? without Opt/alt click the layer?
Also is there a quick way to turn it off?

If you are talking about the "blend if" sliders you can get rid off them with "clear layer style". That will wipe out everything else too of course.
Sorry I can't offer further help.

Yes Hannu I'm talking about "blend if"
I didnt know about "clear layer styles" for advance blending but to use it you need to have a layer style applied on the layer! $}

Well the "blend if" sliders are in the Layer Style window are they not? :)
Just right click the layer and choose the clear option. That's how I do it.

You got a good point there Dolph - its easy to spend ages fiddling around trying to understand things don't quite look right until you remember you applied advanced blending somewhere! The only answerI've found is Hannus; Clear Styles – (you can right click on the layer name in the palette or use control on a mac to bring up the contextual menu to make this easy) and then undo, you can also set up an F key action if its happening often.

Only tip I can offer, DD, is to mark the layer my renaming it as AB for Advanced Blend or a symbol to see from the layer palette at a glance.
