Anyone know how to make a glass ball, like with a picture of something and turn it into a ball?

Do a search here on that Ace. I'm quite certain there at least a few threads about that effect.
And when you're done here, check here: http://photoshopgurus.info/forum/
And when you're done there... have a go at this tute: http://photoshopgurus.info/intermediate/classy-glass_buttons/classy-glass_buttons.shtml

After we get through all the steps, how do you put an image INSIDE the ball/sphere/button thingy???
THAT's the tutorial you need to bestow upon us PS Guru acolytes...Most tuts end up blurring and fading the inserted image too much, losing the insertion in order to preserve the button/sphere.
Please, oh Guru of the Spheres...grace us with the secret tut to insert images INTO the spheres. PLEASE, oh pretty pleeeeze?:))) :))) %0 :)))

Put the image/object on it's own layer. and below all of the highlight layers. Try using certain blend modes to get a specific looking effect.

According to some research, people don't leave their monitor when there appear Beauty, Baby, and Beast. :6
Mark, nice new avatar. By the way, it looks like someone featured in a series of Beauty and The Beast. ;)

Actually ya, it kinda does huh? But it's really from a photo maip tute i found in a PS4 book i have. Greg's featured in the book also. Don't know how much he remembers about it... it's called "Photoshop 4 Studio Secrets". I don't usually buy books, but i was thinking of writing one a long time ago and thought i might get some content ideas from it.
This is what I got out of that tutorial you posted Mark, I don't think it covered absolutely everything.

Sure it did Alex. ;)
Why, what's got you confused?
Your image looks fine. You've changed a couple things from the tute, but that's ok. The photo you stuck inside is also lacking in detail so it will be hard to distinguish when put behind the glass highlights.
Also... you should always save images with this kind of detail (continuous tone/gradients) as Jpg, not Gif. Jpg will have MUCH better looking results with a MUCH smaller file size. B#
Gif is for images with mainly flat colours and/or type. Or animation.
Alright.
Thanks alot man!
I thought JPG was the one that screwed up the effects.
Anyway, thanks alot man.
PS:
CANADA ROX DUDE!!!!!!
Yeah your definately right about the sizes.
This file is only 56.6KB
I think it looks real cool.
If you want a tut on it just tell me:]
