Hi,
I tried creating a somewhat liquid-ish substance flowing from the top of the site to the bottom (non animated) somewhat like when you pour oil or a glass of O.J. now i have tried this in various 3d programs but i am varely new to those, then i saw something that slightly resembles what i want at www.teamphotoshop.com (the orange purple things) which was made in photoshop, now i figured airbrushing was involved but that's as far as i got : /

Hi Raz,

I had a look at the Teamphotoshop site, quite nice.

There is actually a tutorial page on that site that has a couple of tutorials that go most of the way towards explaining how that was done. Try those.

Unfortunately, the ones they have involve the KPT third party filters, but I'll have a think about how to do it without (If I get time.)

"Pank" the author of most of that site's content and graphics has placed a few tutorials on various methods to come up with this "Liquid Metal" texture. However, I've been a frequent visitor of that site for a long time, and many people including myself have asked him just how he created the orange and purple thing on the main page.

Sadly, Pank released the official statement that while he has posted a few tuts that get you close, he will not divulge exactly how he did it, he claims it's creation was an "accident." :(

As for the blue metal tutorial that requires KPT 5, yeah, it's a nice idea, but KPT 5 is $150 and I can't think of a reason to validate paying that price for it, just so I can complete one tutorial, lol.

Raziel...
Have you seen this tutorial from that site: http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/techniques/liquid/liquid.php

It may get you close to what you're after.
