Hello

I purchased a Monaco OPTIX colormeter and the 2.5 software but am having difficulty to get it to work on Windows XP. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? I contact the Monaco tech rep who told me they have not received any similar complaints and gave me a few suggestions to try but unfortunately they did not work. I also tried it on a friends computer who has Windows XP and it still didn't work. I am about ready to return it for a refund but am curious if anyone out there has experienced a similar problem and if so, what did you do about it. I am not a computer geek and therefore took it to a computer shop and they couldn't figure out why it didn't work. Would appreciate your input. Needless to say, I am very frustrated and at this time would not recommend the OPTIX to anyone who uses Windows XP.

Just want to inform you the problem turned out to be the OPTIX was defective! I ended up returning it to Monaco and they sent me a new one and said the old one was defective. What through me off was the fact Windows had recognized the meter and I thought it was not defective. Anyway, thanks for your assistance.
