I have the opportunity to go to a stop on the Photoshop WOW tour. Has anyone ever been to one of these? Did you learn valuable information, and was it worth the money spent? I really would like to know if it will be a worthwhile $100, even if it is just for the networking possibilities.

Thanks in advance,

Jon,
I haven't attended one of these presentations but I have shared the stage with Jack a number of times and have seen many of his presentations.
I think Jack is one of the true innovators in the Photoshop world. As far as overall skills go I would put him in the top five of all the PS users I know of. There are plenty of PS presentations out there but many of them are derivative. Jack is not. He shows his take on things. I consider his point of view very valuable.
When I speak at a conference... it is a lot of work, PS luminaries all around, parties, dinners, attendees... so I only attend a few sessions, otherwise I burn out too fast. I try to see Jack's sessions whenever I can.

I'll concur with Greg, Jack Davis is an awesome Photoshop practitioner.
I've had the pleasure of watching Jack demonstrate his command of Photoshop during Photoshop World West; not only does Jack display superior Photoshop skills, he also is an effective communicator - very pedagogical.
If you don't already have his book: Photoshop 6 Wow Book, get it. When Jack and the Photoshop WOW tour comes around to Southern California I'll be sending my sister.

Well, I went to the seminar yesterday, and let me say, that it was an excellent seminar. I probably learned more in 1 day there then a semester in college.
I would recommend that anyone who wants to work smarter, not harder would definitely benefit from going to one of these conferences. It was excellent! Thank you to Rick and Greg who recommended I go to it.
Thanks,
Jon

I'm gratified to hear you liked it, although not surprised as Jack is a very effective communicator.
Good luck!
Rick
