I am using CS2 on OSX tiger and work at a web design agency. Our file structure is quite large and I find myself spending large amounts of time finding the correct locations to save files. I am wondering if there is a way for photoshop to "remember" where the file was saved last time, automatically bringing me to that folder. I create templates for things like side navs and galleries and it is bothersome "re-finding" the elaborate saving paths when switching from one client to another.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Thank you

There are several system utilities that do this

Scroll to Organization/launch tools

I've used Default Folder since OS 8.6 or so, and it's the most valuable utility I own. Allows you to set a list of favorite folders and keeps track of your folder history - among many other user-defined things - and appears as an addition to all open/save dialogs. You can make sets of favorite folders and paths specific to the job you're on, and switch them as needed. Highly recommended.
