this probably sounds silly but i have a few hot key questions that i cannot find the answers for..i am hoping that someone here is a freak like me and doesnt use palettes. i am using cs1 with tiger and running into the following issues...

1) in illustrator or indesign, when i hit apple1 the document fits to page, but in photoshop it desaturates the image? nothing shows in history so i cannot undo it when i accidentally do this (which is a lot because i go between applications sooo much) its not changing the image or layer mode, so i dont get it. ihave been using revert to last saved but as you can imagine, i loose work and valuable time this way.

2) in illustrator, if i am working with text with all of my palettes closed, i can hit escape to get out of text mode. in indesign, that doesnt work, and the only way i know of to get out of the text tool with all of my windows closed is to use my pulldown menu to reopen my tool box. there has got to be another way.

Regarding your Illustrator/Photoshop CTRL (CMD) 1 issue: In Illy, CTRL1 zooms the image to 100%. In Photoshop, CTRL looks at the first channel (RED channel in RGB mode, CYAN channel in CMYK mode, etc.). By the way, CTRL (CMD) ~ will load the composite channel in PS. I agree that this can be confusing when always switching between apps. In PS, CTRL SHIFT 0 will zoom image to 100%.

Regarding the second problem... I can't tell you how many "v"'s have been added to my InDesign projects ;). It's too easy to fall into that trap of just hitting the shortcut key. Try clicking outside of a text box before for hitting "v" to activate your move tool. This should solve the problem.

with my large documents in indesign, ive gotten into the habbit of doing a search for he letter v before sending to print. but clicking outside the text box first does work, so simple, i feel silly now. thank you, and im changing my keys in photoshop, its just easier for them to be the same for all 3 apps.
