RGB Workflow in Prepress Environment

After years of "looking at the numbers" and working on CMYK
images that come of the scanner in CMYK format,
we are playing with the idea of converting to a RGB workflow
where our scans will be kept in RGB color space off the scanner and we will color correct in
RGB. The files will be
converted to CMYK before platemaking with the use of a
profile.

My question is: Other than the traditional Curves, which
everyone here is familiar with working, are there other
Photoshop tools or techniques that are easier to color
correct with in RGB, or even non-existent in CMYK mode
that we can take advantage of when we do switch to a
RGB workflow?

Re: RGB Workflow in Prepress Environment

A couple of small things that I find very useful in RGB curves is the ability to position the
cusor on the image then click-hold to see that point on the curve. Command/Control-click
to place points. Again, small but very handy.
